On the heels of Essex County College professor, Lisa Durden, being fired, another East Coast professor has been fired for racist remarks.

Kathy Dettwyler, a tenured professor at University Of Delaware said that Otto Warmbier 'got what he deserved', because he was a white male. Not only does she blame Otto for being white, but goes even further, by slamming Otto's grieving parents.

“His parents ultimately are to blame for his growing up thinking he could get away with whatever he wanted," professor Kathy Dettwyler wrote on her Facebook page.

Kathy is not the first person to use Otto's death to push an agenda. Before Otto's death, Huffington Post published an article, implying the same thing; that Otto was to blame for his imprisonment, and he deserved this harsh treatment because he was a white male.

"That kind of reckless gall is an unfortunate side effect of being socialized first as a white boy," wrote journalist La Sha, from Huffington Post.

While Huffington Post still employs La Sha, because of their precedented opinions, University of Deleware has 0 tolerance for such remarks. The University of Delaware has notified the press that Katherine Dettwyler will not be returning to teach at their University. The school also issued a statement.

"The comments of Katherine Dettwyler do not reflect the values or position of the University of Delaware. We condemn any and all messages that endorse hatred and convey insensitivity toward a tragic event such as the one that Otto Warmbier and his family suffered"

When asked to comment on the issue, Katherine Dettwyler declined.
